The Oakwood rebrand project explores how a century-old institution modernizes without losing what made it prestigious in the first place. Research includes studying the club's original 1928 identity and archives, understanding how heritage sporting brands evolve their visual language over time, and analyzing how crests, monograms, and engraving continue to signal exclusivity even in a refreshed system.
With a navy-and-gold palette, a refined crossed-mallet crest, and a classic serif wordmark, the 2025 identity retains the gravitas of the original 1928 mark while sharpening its execution for modern applications. Every touchpoint — embossed leather, engraved brass, foil-stamped stationery — was rebuilt to feel more considered without losing the club's old-world character.
The rebrand integrates a full identity system across member-facing touchpoints — from leather goods and field equipment to gala invitations, membership directories, and personalized keepsakes — bringing the refreshed Oakwood identity to life at every point of the member experience. The system was designed to scale consistently across nearly a century's worth of new applications, from a monogrammed glove to a formal event suite.
The 2025 rebrand honors Oakwood's 1928 founding while giving it a visual language built for the next era of the club. The system centers on legacy refined — proof that nearly 100 years of tradition doesn't need to look dated to feel authentic.
